hwiopy: Hardware IO for embedded systems in python, starting with Beaglebone Black

I wrote my first Python code at Brechtel Mfg in February 2014. My task assignments at work were being consistently shifted between projects, and it took a good 4 months to have a solid enough python footing to push for more flexibility in software development. Eventually, starting mid-November 2014, I was writing code between 10 and 30 hours per week, and in the time since then I’ve made good headway on the “hwiopy” library, intended as a universal, platform-independent python API to hardware IO access.

Check it out on github, but be warned that this is extremely experimental code.
